Terms of Service

About these terms
These terms apply when you book any service with Borderline Voyage, whether that booking is made in one of our offices, over the phone, on WhatsApp or through this website. By paying a deposit you accept them on behalf of everyone named on the booking.
Our role
For flights, hotels and transfers we act as an agent for the airline, hotel or supplier providing the service, and their own conditions of carriage or booking apply alongside these terms.
For our Hajj, Umrah and holiday packages we act as the organiser, and we are responsible for delivering the services described in the package as sold.
Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit and issue a written confirmation. Until that confirmation is issued, prices and availability can change.
The balance is due by the date shown on your confirmation. If the balance is not paid by that date we may treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation charges in our Refund Policy.
Payment is accepted by bank transfer to our corporate account or by card at our offices. Payments made to any personal account are not payments to Borderline Voyage.
Prices
Prices are quoted in naira and are based on the exchange rates, airfares, taxes and supplier costs applying on the day of quotation.
Once your booking is confirmed and paid in full, the price will not change. Before full payment, we may pass on increases in airline fares, government taxes or statutory charges, and we will always tell you before applying one.
Passports, visas and health
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, the correct visas and any vaccination certificates required for your trip. We will advise on requirements and can process visa applications for you, but the final responsibility rests with the traveller.
We cannot refund a trip missed because a visa was refused, a passport was invalid, or a vaccination certificate was not accepted at the border.
Changes by you
Tell us as early as possible if you need to change a booking. We will pass on the supplier's charge plus an administration fee. Name changes on airline tickets are usually treated as a cancellation and a rebooking by the airline, and are priced accordingly.
Changes and cancellations by us
Occasionally we have to change a booking. Minor changes, such as a change of hotel to another of the same standard or a change of flight time, will be notified to you but do not entitle you to cancel without charge.
If we make a significant change or cancel your trip, you may accept the alternative we offer or receive a full refund of what you have paid us.
Pilgrimage bookings
Hajj and Umrah bookings are subject to the rules and quotas set by the Saudi authorities and to the allocation we receive through the Nusuk platform. If an allocation is withdrawn or reduced by the authorities, our liability is limited to refunding the amounts we are able to recover on your behalf.
Attendance at our pre-departure training sessions is a condition of travelling on a Hajj package.
Conduct while travelling
Travellers must respect the laws and customs of the country they are visiting and follow the reasonable instructions of our guides and coordinators.
We may end the travel arrangements of anyone whose behaviour endangers or seriously inconveniences other travellers, and we will not be liable for any cost arising from that decision.
Liability
We accept responsibility for the services we agreed to provide, and we will not be liable for loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to war, civil unrest, industrial action, epidemic, extreme weather, airport or airspace closure and decisions of governments and consular authorities.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance covering medical treatment, repatriation, cancellation and baggage for every trip. Some destinations require it as a condition of the visa, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong while you are travelling, tell your guide or call the office line immediately, so that we have the chance to fix it. If the matter is not resolved, write to us within twenty-eight days of returning.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms.
