Refund Policy

Last updated

Scope of this policy

This policy explains what happens to the money you have paid if a booking is cancelled, by you or by us. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to every booking made with Borderline Voyage.

How to cancel

Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected] or delivered to one of our offices. The cancellation takes effect on the working day we receive it, and that date is what determines the charge.

Cancellation charges for Hajj and Umrah

Pilgrimage costs are committed early, so charges rise as departure approaches: More than 120 days before departure: deposit only 120 to 91 days: 30 percent of the package price 90 to 61 days: 50 percent of the package price 60 to 31 days: 75 percent of the package price 30 days or fewer: 100 percent of the package price Where the Saudi authorities have already been paid on your behalf, those amounts are non-refundable regardless of the date.

Cancellation charges for holiday packages

More than 60 days before departure: deposit only 60 to 31 days: 50 percent of the package price 30 to 15 days: 75 percent of the package price 14 days or fewer: 100 percent of the package price

Flights and hotel-only bookings

Flight tickets are refunded strictly according to the fare rules of the airline, and many discounted fares are not refundable at all. Hotel bookings follow the property's own cancellation terms. Where a refund is due from a supplier, we pass on what we receive, less our administration fee.

Visa service fees

Our visa service fee covers the preparation, review and submission of your application, and is earned once that work has been done. It is not refundable if an application is refused. Embassy and consular fees are paid to the authority and cannot be recovered by us. Where an application has not yet been submitted, the fee is refunded in full less any costs already incurred.

If we cancel

If we cancel your trip for a reason that is not your fault, you may take an alternative of equivalent standard or receive a full refund of everything you have paid us. We will confirm which you have chosen in writing.

How refunds are paid

Refunds are paid by bank transfer to the account the payment came from, normally within fourteen working days of the refund being agreed. Where we are waiting on an airline or supplier, we will tell you what we are waiting for and keep you updated. We do not refund to a third-party account.

Amendments instead of cancellation

Where the supplier allows it, moving a booking to a later date is often cheaper than cancelling it. Ask us before you cancel and we will tell you honestly which option costs less.

Questions

If you disagree with a charge applied under this policy, write to [email protected] setting out why. We will review it and respond within fourteen working days.
